I USE SAFARI AND UNDRER THE SAFARI TAB IR SAYS EMPTY CACHE I CLICK THAT AND GONE, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS FIND YOUR CACHE OPTION AND THEN CLEAR THEM.

Depending on the toolbar you are using there should be a section that is usually before the search bar that you should be able to click on (this is usually where the logo of the toolbar that you are using) that has an option to clear search history.
For example if you are using the Google Toolbar there should be an icon on the far left that had a g with a globe in the background, if you click on it towards the bottom you can clear search history. Or if you are using the Yahoo toolbar, if you click on the pencil next to the search bar you can clear search history from there.
Also for the question about firefox, go to tools>options>privacy>saved forms and make sure there is no check mark where it lists "save information I enter in forms and the Search bar"

If you're using Internet Explorer go to "Tools" in the menu bar and then go to Internet Options and then delete history.

In your browser under tools, go to browser options; then select "clear address bar" and "clear search strings" You might have to do it every now and then, but it will delete them when you do this.

if you are using yahoo toolbar just click on the arrow next to it....go to options...and then click clear search history

i am actually wondering the same thing
if using a pc sometimes pressing delete not backspace when your mouse hovers over your search and is blue that can help but im using firefox and it doesnt work
someone help?

have you tried deleting all the cookies, history as well as temporary internet files? tools>internet options> delete history, delete cookies as well as offline temporary files, and there you go
