when i was listening to music i select menu and it didin't went to menu zone
and it got frozen but when i connect to the computer sometimes it shows that the ipod is corrutec but then when i try to restore i can't do it .

dont restore it
theres no reason for it...
just reset it..by holding the menu and center button down for about 5 seconds...then ur good

ok this is simple toggle to hold/unhold switch off and on about 10 times then set it to unhold then press the menu and center "select" botton at the same time for about 10 seconds or until the ipod resets. you will know when it does. good luck

i just let mine run out of batteries usually, the answer above me is unclear, anyone else know how to reset the ipod when it has froze?

leaveit alone and let it die.
next morning charge it fully and then your ipod should be working fine.

wait till it dies and then plug it back into the computer.
mine did that too.
