My in laws did something very disrespectful and I'm hurt by what they did. Part of me feels like my husband should have said something to them, but another part of me feels like they're his family and he loves them and I shouldn't have been bothered by it like I was.
Am I mad at HIM or THEM?

They were kind of crappy about my daughter (his stepdaughter who he has adopted thus making her OUR daughter) Apparently she isn't included in the "family only" things..

Well, not including your dau who has been adopted by your husband is low class, to say the least. She's young now, but she won't always be and furthermore, she can pick up on pretty subtle stuff, even if she is young. You need to talk to your husband about this (but not in her presence) and he needs to talk to his folks about it. If nothing changes, then the best you can do for your little girl is to try to have a good attitude about it and when she asks about it, tell her the truth (she was adopted by your husb and you don't know why his parents exclude her).
As to who you're mad at... I don't know! I would be mad at all 3 of them...

You are really mad at him for not sticking up for you when they were disrespectful. It is easier to be mad at your inlaws than at your husband who you love. You might be mad at them still too though. Inlaws are always a pain in the butt. :)
About your daughter: If your husband cared enough for the two of you to make her his legal daughter then she IS FAMILY. He should have stuck up for her as if she was his flesh and blood. I hope that your daughter doesn't know about the crap they pulled. If she doesn't I wouldn't tell her either, it will only hurt her feelings. I stick with my first answer you are mad at your husband for not sticking up for you (and HIS daughter). I would also be mad at the inlaws though and I would talk to them about it, when your daughter is not around. Maybe (giving them the benefit of the doubt) they don't even realize how hurtful what they did was. Your husband should back you on this. Best of luck. :)

THEY ARE WRONG and he needs to speak up. You are mad at all of them, husband and in-laws. If he has truly adopted her, not only into the family, but into his heart, he needs to stand with you. Write him a note and stick it in his pocket. Let him know how hurt you are. No need to vocalize yet until everyone involved calms down. Remind him you are a family, including that precious little girl.

Youre not schizo you're mad at all 3 of them. This is an emotional reaction, its not supposed to make sense, if you were able to keep your mouth shut, u are sane.
btw in German Z is pronounced like we say ts so its spelled schizo not schitso or schitzo, the t is redundant
