My topic is Fad diets don't work.

The thesis is "Fad diets do not allow people to lose weight as effectively as eating healthy and excercising" if that is what you are intending. Your intro will introduce your thesis statement. You will talk about your claim in your introduction.

The body will go into your research about the subject. You just need to back up your claim in the body.

The conclusion will state whether your thesis was correct or not, so you will say "the author believes that fad diets are not effective, yet yada yada article states that fad diets are super" you get the idea...

When it comes to such topics, its always difficult to figure out which one to use, but my piece of advice is, whatever you are writing about, just check the same topics on the internet and see their way of introductions and from there pick one that interests you most
