Why do Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) look down upon Filipinos?

These Asians call us dirty monkeys, island beaners, mexicans, spanish. Why they have so much hostility and hatred against Filipinos?

other asians are just insecured to the filipinos coz of their gene pool of different race, they expressed their insecurities by putting us down. and they are afraid that one day philippines might overcome their economies as what we did in the past. so they want us to feel pity in ourselves and be insecured too like them, aside from these filipinos have lots of potentials, we speak english better than other asians, we are everywhere in the world and adaptable unlike them, intelligence and educated but bacause of many challenges we prefer to work and earn more money than engaring into research and development,. we'll with it comes to sports, filipino potential is great. Though we are short except me 5'11, our sport is basketball which means that we face great challenges only that because life is difficult here our attention is shift mainly to find a living rather than taking sport as a career. what about football which asia fav games? filipinos don't know about football, if only it becomes popular here in the philippines for sure we can replace singapore japan thailand as the asia's best.

There is racism and prejudice not just to asians or filipino but to the whole universe. Every country there is black sheep :) I have a good friends chinese,koreans,japanese,thai,singapore,filipino,malaysia,indonesia.And friends from different parts of the world.Only people who look down other nationalities,racist and discriminate others are those lonely,closed-minded and heartless human being.Those ignorant and they need to educate themselves.We should not generalizing !

Probably because as a whole they don't do as well as other Asians and they are known to not work as hard. The reason why there is a seperate category called "Pacific Islander" on applications is so Filipinos can select that category and qualify for governement program/assistance. If they were in the Asian category they wouldn't qualify for the help, because as a whole Asians do better and the programs aren't available. I'm not trying to sound like a racist but I took an ethnic studies class on this and that is what I was taught.

The Japanese generally don't like Filipinos because they are loud, less intelligent than Japanese and lie, steal and cheat. Not all Filipinos but most (90%) are like this. Also, Japan has a particular standard of beauty. Filipinos often appear crude and mixed race ugly. Japanese dont like Westerners and Filipinos have a Spanish heritage. But this is a stereotype most Japanese have of Filipinos. It the same as Whites have stereotyped Blacks as lazy, stupid and ugly.

Well, most Filipinos work as maids in Asian countries such as China, Hong Kong,Japan. Only the luckier ones manage to get an education and escape from poverty. Thus, many people have the perception that most of the Filipinos are maids and look down on them.

That's one reason and another would be that they are mixed. People usually accept their own kind and cast aside those who are foreigners or mixed people.

another reason other asians look down on Filipinos is because the women have a poor reputation because of the US servicemen in the PI, because almost all of the filipina women that married a US serviceman were prostitutes, Angeles City is known as the city of prostitution, I guess they are seen as low class asians

I'm Chinese and to be honest, I didn't know that there are such nasty names to describe a filipino. There're always black sheeps in any race or culture. But be assured that at least I'll not say those nasty things :)
