Do certain places or different countries have a certain vibe or "consciousness" to them? Not just the place but whole groups of people. I've noticed certain areas and people that seem depressed. Some areas have an artistic vibe to it, some spiritual, etc.

I think so. I think countries as a whole can suffer from depression, stress etc just like individuals. They have a certain atmosphere. North America in general tends to be more stressed, work-oriented, etc. Europeans tend to be a little more relaxed, they love life & enjoy the finer things. I noticed the difference when I was there. Even the air felt different. It was a happy vibe. Not only was it so beautiful & rich with history but the pace of life is a little slower. People don't live to work over there. I've never been to Russia or Finland but I hear that they tend to be very depressed. I picture the environment being rather bleak as well. Though obviously there would be beautiful aspects, the general tone is rather dark...

I'm in a community now that's very artistic. It's cool to be a part of. I'm an artist as well as a singer/songwriter/guitarist & I've been showing my artwork & my songs since I moved here & I've met some extraordinary people. When I go to my favourite bar or the local art store where my paintings are currently showing, it's a very friendly welcoming vibe. It's nice to be around fellow artists.

Being in nature (for instance when I went to Algonquin) has a spiritual/artistic vibe for me. That's where I find my zen. I feel at peace when I'm close to natural beauty. Being in the city, with traffic & pollution & noise & crowds stresses me out! I'd rather live in the country. I believe that our surroundings impact us & vice versa. It's a symbiotic relationship. I like to surround myself with beauty & creativity.

Most of the people in this room have read the Celestine Prophecy I think, as did you perhaps.

The Bible says in Ephesians 16:12 that Christians wage a war in spiritual wickedness in high places. And the best description of that is found in Daniel 10 when Daniel was in prayer for 3 weeks and finally the answer from God came. The angel that delivered the message told him why he was late. He was in a battle with the angel that ruled the country. (that link is below)

yes..I've noticed it too....people living at certain places sort of get moulded into the general identity of an area..it's history, culture, and climate somehow super imposes itself onto them...i think people have roots, like trees...they become a part of the place where they live...
I've noticed that people who live near the mountains (majority of them) are generally easy going, and friendly..those who live in chaotic cities are stressed and slightly depressed all the time, and they're always in a hurry...some really old cities, with centuries of history behind do have a certain 'feel' to them..like a spiritually calm, settled spirit of the place..i think countries would have different 'vibes' too...hmmm...maybe this is why stereotypes get formed....about people living at different places...

the only 'vibe' that seems to be everywhere at once is the crazy vibe..slightly crazy people seem to abound in all areas and countries..

yeah places do seem to have an energy. it is an odd thing, people of the same ilk seem to gravitate to the same area. that area either becomes a representation and takes on the energy of the inhabitants. sometimes it seems the other way around, like the energy was there and the people who needed it seemed to end up there. one question for you though, did you take a lot of LSD in your life? just ask cause i did not think this way until after i had.

Yes...there are grids of power associated with different areas of Earth.

You can tell...if you are aware, of which areas those are wherever you live.

And the places where negativity lurks....

In Seattle...some of those places where a positive grid is:

North end of the farmers market
Green lake
The University of Washington.

are two areas in my local.

Look where there are certain places...usually parks, are more positive, where buildings could be negative...like jails.

I notice it to... I think it can be attributed to local culture, a place's economic situation, history, and even (though less and less these days) genetics.
