after debating with differant people on the subject i have decided that if christians want to use the passage from leviticus saying that a man shall not lay with a man then they should also give up bacon and shell fish because you can't pick and choose which passages you follow. What do you think?

Leviticus 18:22
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

Leviticus 11:7
And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

Leviticus 11:10
But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to detest. 11 And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat and you must detest their carcasses.

and most of the people that use that passage as their sole reason are also people that don't know much about what jesus said and are only copycats on what theyve heard others say...

I hear where your coming from. Seems like you know your bible. But in the New Testament didn't Jesus tell his disciples that they can now go out and preach throughout the world and they should not worry what they will eat because they can now eat what God has made clean? I don't know where in the N T it says that, all I know it's in there, somewhere. Comment me back on this if you know more.

I trust with what the CAtholic Church teaches. without God inspiring the church, there is no bible to begin with. The church is the pillar and foundation of truth... 1 tim 3:15. I wonder that to though, gotta find out now.

If you keep on reading, you will find that God also said to bless the food so it will be cleansed. Don't try to find excuses to continue to ignore the truth.
