I was not disappointed by it but I happen to love the show. I think anyone that doesn't have an appreciation for the show or an attachment to the main characters may not like or understand it. As an analogy, I would never go to watch a Star Trek movie on the big screen because I was never into the television series, so it would be understandable that I would be disappointed by or bored with it.

I think the fact that The X-Files made it to the movies was commendable, especially given that the fans made it a respectable success. It was obvious that it was not for everyone, but that's why there is an array of other movies out there for people of differing tastes and preferences to go and see.

Disappointed? Nah. It was normal in "The X-Files", especially with the alien storyline, to have plots keep developing without anything getting resolved. Why would the movie be any different? That's why people lost interest in the show after about season 5. Let's hope "Lost" doesn't make the same mistake.

BYW, the movie is pretty cool. I hear they're making another.

Nope, I loved it. I think that they layed everything out perfectly. It's still one of my favorite movies. They had everything X-File's style and it was perfect. Mulder and Scully were extra-good in the movie. They had real nice special effects. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny were brilliant once again in the movie. I also think that the series itself is really good.

It probably is a little confusing watching it now. It was a perfect link from that season's cliff hanger to the next season's opener.
I still think it had one of the best trailers ever.

I'm an X-Phile...I'm not disappointed but I just wanted to be part of this discussion. I do have concern, I think it's a bit overboard for them to blow up an entire Federal building just to cover up some dead bodies they dont want examined.
