All the time - I think I wind up more upset with myself for getting upset than with how mad I was at the other person to begin with.

Sorry about your night...

What, that doesn't happen to everybody? I get so mad at the teachers at my son's school for not understanding that he has a disability that I want to strangle them. Then when I am talking to them it is either scream or cry, so I usually end up crying. This makes me even madder because, I AM NOT crying because I am sad, it is the anger seeping out my eyeballs so my brain doesn't explode. :{

Yes, I definitely know what you are saying. I've tried to tell myself there is no reason for getting so worked up and try to calm down.

My ex used to get me that way. I'd get so mad at myself for letting him get to me. I think I can honestly say he doesn't bother me anymore. I can laugh at the idiot now.

Yes. Ignorant people don't care if you're mad at them anyway. All that anger does is cause yourself stress.

sure thing, I got so mad at my brother (when I shouldn't even waste my time with him) that I yelled at him in the hallway of my apartment building......I can still remember what I said ("well, you're the one who f*cked it up you stupid piece of sh*t") It was true, but I was so upset that I had gotten so worked up...and blew up. erg
