It has a lot to do with the dry-ness of the air during the winter. It happens all the time to me during the winter. I do not have a humidifer which I hear really helps (at least during the time you are indoors). I have also heard that carrying around a dryer sheet will help. If you touch it every once in a while in your pocket it will help get rid of the shocks. I also use Static Guard on my hair and when I spray it on my clothes it helps with the shocks from touching things.

Good luck.

They carry a heavy charge in their body...also if the air is dry and your hair has been flying in the wind, it picks up electricity too.
My husband and I EACH carry a LOT of electricity in our bodies...sometimes when we kiss, we make marks on each others lips. (just like sticking your finger in a light socket.)
