when winter first hit it felt so cold that I made leg warmers and my daughter used a space heater to keep her hands warm at the computer, but now that it's much colder outside for longer periods, it doesn't feel as cold in here, why?

You definitely get used to it. You ever notice that when summer is ending and it gets down to about 50°, you're pulling out your sweatshirts and grabbing your jacket? Then, after a long winter and it gets to 50°, you're pulling out t-shirts and are tempted to throw on some shorts? :-)

Good question. I think its because we get used to it. I live in the Midwest and when winter first comes around we are still used to at least mild weather, but as time goes our bodies just adjust. If you ask me i would rather adjust to 80 deg weather )

your body adapts to the weather outside. Your used to that weather. A person like me that lives in the South goes up there, i would freeze my self up.
