Of course, it's normal to start being attracted to people around your age and much younger. I had my first girlfriend at 13 and no it wasn't due to brainwashing...she actually pursued me and I was very scared because I didn't want to be gay because all the other nazi christians were "brainwashing" me that being gay was wrong.
I had always had feelings for girls but it took me a couple of months to actually give in to my feelings.
and honestly if you're having these feelings you're probably not bi but a lesbian. It's always important to be yourself whether or not other people like it. I'm getting older now and I regret a lot of the things I've done not because of who i am but because of who I wasn't. Some of the choices I've made are the choices other people wanted me to make.
Even if people told me that at your age I don't know if I would have listened but just stay as true to yourself as you can and f*** everybody else. If people say they care about you and they don't except you for who you are than they're lying.
Don't let people live vicariously through you
let them live their own lives.

It is called being "bi-curious" and it is perfectly normal. Your body is hitting that point of maturity where things are starting to turn on, but it doesn't know how to deal with the hormones and the emotions just yet.
Psycologically (fantasy word for 'what might be going on in the brain'), young people are more attracted to things that are familiar to them. Girls understand their own bodies better than boys, so being in a relationship with another girl makes sense. It is safe.
As you get older your preferances will become clearer, but what ever they turn out to be just remember to be safe and don't judge people solely on how they look.

Check out The Trevor Project. It is a non-profit group dedicated to helping teens deal with sexual identity issues. They are not religious, they will not judge you, and they will not tell you that there is anything wrong with you(there isn't!). They will just give you a smart, knowledgeable and caring person to talk to openly about the things you're thinking about. You are not alone. They have an 800 number. If you don't want to call, you can send them an email. They will respond. Even if you don't think that talking to someone will help, it never hurts to try.

*shrugs* S'hard to tell. It sounds like you're just experimenting. Bi-curious, is what I believe they call it. Yes, it is normal, it just means you're exploring your options.
I'm 15, and a lesbian. You can talk to me if you want. My IM is sabrina200320012000 ^_^

Of course it's normal. Don't EVER let anyone tell you otherwise.
You have years and years ahead of you to figure out exactly who you are and what you want from life. Enjoy the journey, think for yourself, and don't listen to the extreme Bible thumpers. They are dangerous brain-washers.
Have fun and enjoy your life.

Eh.. You're young, you're supposed to question things.
Better now, than having a identity crisis later in life.
Enjoy it.
