I'm sorry, there is no way to predict when you will ovulate based solely on the date of your last menstrual period. It is a common misconception that every woman ovulates on day 14 of her cycle. In fact, it is quite normal for some women to ovulate days sooner or days later. The only way to know for sure when YOU will ovulate is to either monitor your personal fertility signs (waking body temperature, changes in cervical mucous and position) or to invest in an ovulation predictor kit (I use the inexpensive strips from the link below.) I also use Fertility Friend to keep up with my cycles - it will "learn" you over time and be able to predict when you will be most fertile.

Having sex as close to possible to ovulation will increase your chances of conceiving a boy. The "male" sperm swim faster than the "female" sperm, but don't live as long - so they stand the best chance when the egg is ready and waiting for them. However, be prepared for the possibility of a girl, too - your chances are truly 50/50.

The time of day does not matter one bit. Position hasn't been proven to increase your chances of conception, although the general consensus is that positions that allow for deepest penetration are best - and it doesn't hurt to lie on your back with your hips elevated for about thirty minutes after sex either.

Best of luck to you.

Most people will tell you 14 days from the 1st day of your last period, but that's only for people that have a 28 day cycle. Your cycle is the 1st day of your last period to the day before your next period starts. My cycle is 33 days so I ovulate on the 16th day of my cycle or so. I agree with the other person use mymonthlycycles.com there great. I do all my charting there.
