1/2 = 12/24
1/4 = 6/24
1/6 = 4/24
1/12 = 2/24
summed = 24/24 = 1

the remaining terms are:
1/8 * 1/10 = 1/80

I agree with Mike O. on all but one matter. The numbers' LCM is 12, not 24.

1/2 = 6 /12
1/4 = 3/12
1/6 = 2/12
1/12 = 1/12

S = (6 + 3 + 2 + 1) /12 = 12/12 = 1

So the product of the terms not removed is (1/8)(1/10) = 1/80
