For my work to tell me not to come in, not sure. Its never happened at my current job, we have had as much as 8 inches and I still went to work. Only once was work canceled due to snow. We had snow for about 2 days straight and had about 14-12 inches on the ground, with some drifts almost 6 feet high.

Most of the time one or two inches but this month our schools closed 2 days without snow only because there was a snow threat.

Well, we had 45 inches of snow in the past 24 hours, so that effectively shut down everything in the entire area. It's finally stopped now and a huge yellow moon is out. It's really beautiful. I am going to college in Central New York and everything was cancelled yesterday and today.

Enought that the people that clear the snow will take longer than a few hours to clear the roads.

bad news dude... we are in global warming right now -- no snow for you. yea i know but there's snow all over the place. its a vast right wing conspiracy. al gore says there is global warming and really the midwest has 80 degree temps but george and jeb have been doing non stop flights in their weather machines all over the midwest bringing in that cold artic air and snow to debunk al gore's global warming claims.

We have 18" of snow, with sub zero temps, and they still haven't canceled work.
Schools were only down 1 day.
