yea...and I'm still young myself
It used to be more original music/a lot of "pop"-type music that was popular but now all the radio stations are dominated by hip-hop and filthy rap :( Not that it's all bad, just not to my particular liking

Yes it has, and very much for the worse. We've now reached the stage where just about everything has been done already, but with the continuing wonders of modern technology, the bands of today have nothing new to say but everything to say it with. The current music scene is, quite simply, boring. Been there, heard it. And if you are going to give a thumbs down to this answer, then please justify your reasons for doing so (this isn't aimed at the asker, just all subsequent correspondents).

I know it has. Used to be stuff like the Lettermen, Elvis, and Bobby Vinton. Then it was John Paul and Ringo. Then Jefferson Airplane, Creedence, the Doors. Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Creme. At least Pop music.

Blue Grass is still the same as it was in the 40's, 60's and now.

When I was a kid, music was still somewhat original. Now so much of it sounds just like everything and everyone else.

It most definately has. It has went from "That's cool music man!" , what is known now as Golden Oldies, to "What IS this crap!"

Music has definitely changed!!!!!!!!!!!

The message is the same but the amount of censorship has changed.................
What use to be implied is now boldly stated.
