evaluate function?

or its like a piecewise function...

put -1/2x under y1 in ur calc
and 2-8x under y2
then go to [table] and plot the points on ur piece of paper but only plot the y1 when x is less than 3 (an open circle at whatever y1 eqquals at x)
then plot the y2 points but only when x is greater than 3 (a open circle at whatever y2 equals at 3)

you should have two separate lines
