False. Towards the end of the 19th century hundreds of thousands of blacks began migrating north to fill the jobs created in factories during the Second Industrial revolution. This number peaked in the 1920s but it had been going on for some time prior to that.

Some blacks did move North after the Civil War, but most blacks stayed in the South, and started lives.

False.Since slavery, there were some numbers of blacks going north, it cultimated in the 20th century with the great migration.
