Probably no more so than that scene in Planes, Trains and Automobiles with Steve Martin and John Candy.

The Superbowl ad that was on TV was not homophobic, and was also funny.
There was the same ad online, but with an alternate ending; that ad had each guy hitting the other guy because he perceived the other guy to be gay.

that is stepping into an attempt to't say some thing without offending someone, yet Grandma used to bake up a huge, previous darkish fruitcake round Thanksgiving, wrap it up in cheesecloth soaked in rum, and go away it in a tin boc on a closet shelf 'till eventually Christmas. Deeeeelish!

By the ad no, by the accompanying web content, which I understand they did pull within 12 hours -- yes --- and since they intended it as an advertising package -- yes I am, though not personally. Why hurt all the little 14 year olds who are struggling with the fact that they are gay? It's not like they are going to be able to change, anymore than we were. They are the vulnerable ones that were hurt, more by the web content than the ad -- and that is just plain wrong.

Reyn

They've been making a big deal out of this commercial. I'm straight so I talked to my gay friends about this. We all agreed that it wasn't homophobic but it was basically poking fun at how straight guys are phobic and paranoid about any kind of touch with another guy. It wasn't a very funny commercial but I think they were making fun of homophobia.

No, it was pretty funny lol, but I can understand why some would find it homophobic.
And John S is still an idiot, and the website on his source is still idiotic propaganda

Nah, I wasn't offended. I didn't think it was that funny, though, and I do wish that people wouldn't resort to gayness in order to make people laugh.

I actually didn't watch too much of it so I missed the commercials. I'll go look on youtube though.

No, I found it pretty well on target. What ridiculous extremes that straight men will go to.
