The difference between a Game and a Sport?

My kid ask me, and I said a game is for fun and sports aren't. Was I wrong?

Wrong. Sports are fun. Look at football. Did you watch the superbowl? Those teams were patting each other on the butts and kissing at the end of the game! (or maybe they were gay...)
But sports are fun, and games is too general a topic. Games can equal video games, recreation, board games etc...
