Lots of places do carryout, you think it'd be just as easy to pick up a sub or Chili's to go or a burger or a pizza. Why does it always have to be Chinese???

I think it's because it is a step up from the fast food quality so they feel like they are treating themselves and it's cheap and filling and there is something comforting about americanized chinese food. At least those are reasons that I eat it. :-) Plus the boxes are cool and chops sticks.

The abundance of Chinese take-out restaurants is more common in large cities. As where you won't find a lot of other take-out restaurants, like Pizza Hut or Dominos in such a large abundance compared to any Chinese restaurants. And because using the Chinese carryout containers are more identifiable for city residents.
Since Hollywood has started using Chinese carryout for "lonely" people in cities, people have started looking towards Chinese takeout more often.
It's also a fast filling food, so buying a lot of Chinese takeout can last you all night.

I guess pizza is more of a "crowd" type of food. And then burger or sandwich isn't good when you bring it home, the bread gets soggy.
As to why does it have to be Chinese food.., I guess somewhere along the way some Hollywood producer decided Chinese food and then everyone else just jumped the band wagon...

Here's my thoughts on it. Chinese food is very good. There's a lot of selections you can pick from! Another reason may be because they deliver! They're pretty cheap too concidering the amount of food that you get.

i'm not particular what style of chinese language nutrition you're ingesting yet i'm not in any respect ever hungry after ingesting chinese language nutrition. I have particular Fried Rice and poultry curry and it continuously fills me up.
