I've just finished reading Ender's Game for the second time, and I am still in Awe. When will the movie come out? Is it in the making? It's taking them way too long. Does anyone know anything? Please post here! :)

oh. i'm sorry you feel that way about the movie. wells I'm mainly interested about the battles and how they would map the future out. I have thought of how they children would be played cause it is from i think it ranged from around 5-15 so yeah, it's going to be tough, but i think it's worth seeing.

I don't see it as a movie. Not because it's not a great novel, but because I can't see the actors being convincing in the roles. Consider that the characters range in age from what--6 to 10 or so? (It's been a while since I read it.) Yet, their actions, decisions, mannerisms, and dialogue are distinctly adult, as are the trials and tribulations. It works in the novel because it's supposed to, you accept it becuase you allow yourself to paint their world. However, when it's translated to film--a more concrete form--I'd argue that the result would just seem unnatural and unbelievable.

Actually, it does look like they are working on a film adaptation of Ender's Game (in combination with Ender's Shadow). I decided to Google "ender's game movie" and got over 331,000 hits.

It seems that they've been working on a script for several years now, including efforts by the author himself.

From what little I looked at, it doesn't appear likely that the movie would be released until at least 2008 (maybe even later).

I hope the movie will never be made! I love that novel and I don't need a movie. Ender's Game has such an ambiance that nothing can transmit, it can be only felt between the lines.

They already made it. Its a great movie! I already bought it. Ender is played by Asa Butterfield, The commander guy is played by Harrison Ford. (Han Solo) ;)

There is a movie and it is set to release in 08. http://imdb.com/title/tt0400403/. At least they got a good director for it. Hopefully it'll do the book justice.
