Its easy, the only way to promote democracy in iraq is to stifle it in the congress. But this may work out to the good, Iraq will see our version of democracy and kick us out.

Hold on, I'm shaking my "Magic Liberal Eight Ball" (since us liberals don't know what we're talking about.). Ahhh, yes......"Signs point to no!"
It turns out Republicans are naturally stubborn people who don't know their a-s-s from a hole in the ground. They want to take revenge for something they know nothing about. "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth would leave the whole world blind and toothless." We all have skeletons in our closet. Do they actually think that the 'Al Quaeda' attacked for no reason? People are idiotic if they believe that middle eastern people are born hating the US. Wake up call my conservative friends. Al Quaeda was a group funded by, and trained by the US. We had to do something to our employees to make them angry. We never should've gone to Iraq. Young soldiers die everyday, and for what? For oil? For "Iraqi freedom"? News flash, they don't want us there! All they see is us killing people. Well you neo cons might say, "Wurr killen dem tarurrist!" Oops, wrong again. Well over 90% of the people killed are civilians who are protecting they're land. They're not terrorist. Do you neo cons happen to know anything about the history of that land. Hmmm....lets see. Well, lets go back to around 600 B.C. Ohhhh, so Babylonia was the original name of Iraq. So that's why it's so sacred to them.
How would you like it if someone came to your home and started killing family and friends. Would you not stand up and defend them? Not let them die in vane? I think you would. So, my neo con friends, open your eyes and see whats going on. Those people are only fighting us because we're killing them! And before you say it, No, Iraq didn't have anything to do with the world trade centers. That was in Afghanistan where Osama was supposedly hiding. I could go into the history of him but, that might make your heads explode from trying to comprehend.
Republicans are either one of two things, or possibly both. They're either rich and love the tax breaks by ol' Bush boy, or they're too stupid to see what's going on.

They are still in denial of the fact that most of Americans want out. They refuse to admit that Iraq has been one huge mistake after another from the inception, and the "surge" is just another step down that same road.

It isn't just the Republicans! With a few exceptions(Murtha, Kasinich, etc.) the democrats are afraid to call for an immediate withdrawal because they don't want to appear soft on terrorism or anti military. They all put political self preservation above all else.

well now, we don't' govern by polls for a reason.
when ask the question of "do you want the troops to come home from Iraq?" 75% of the American people say "yes"
when ask if we want the troops to come home before Iraq is stable and simply to extract ourself from a situation without finishing the job that number drops to 21%.
It depends on how honestly and completely the question is ask.
It is easy to ask a question designed to get an answer and then spin that answer to represent a desired result.
That is what is done with this question and answer.

Well clearly we are not capable of understanding how best to keep us safe.
That is why we must bow in subservience to the great and Almighty Bush.
Only the "decision maker" can keep us free from the threat of "islamofacism"
