Only one: believe the lie. Complete psychos past the test cos they believe what they are saying is true.

Apart from that a biofeedback machine could probably train you to stop from showing the signs..

why worry though, they don't hold up in court...

The only way to acheive a false result in a polygraph test is to be insane. Criminally insane. You must honestly believe that all of your answers are true. Polygraph tests measure blood pressure, heart rate, and eye movement. Or perhaps your a fakir?

Only two possibilities I can think of.

Polygraph tests are just psychological tests. They are bunk to begin with.

There was a story of some kid in San Diego who was told about a voice stress analyzer and that he failed the test and he was guilty.

There are other tricks, such as putting your hand on the Bible.
So called Voice Stress analyzers and polygraph tests. They are just hoping that you will admit guilt because the tests never lie.

The more test they can do, the more apt you are to admit guilt.

Here's what I've heard of ppl doing. They start the interview w/ standard baseline questions--- if you get your blood-pressure/ pulse up for those and sweat some you will throw off your baseline... (Basically get mad/angry for the first few questions). So, if you answer a question later on and you lie, it appears similar to your baseline and the test will come back inconclusive.

The only way I have heard is that they structure the questions to begin with "Did you lie...?" If you don't listen to the rest of the sentence and only respond to the did you lie part, it could work. That's only what I have heard around the campfire, not personal experience.

Yes, but it takes a lot of work and training.

Polygraphs determine whether or not by small movements (like twitching muscles, the small changes in voice, and blood pressure).
