First time moms usually feel the baby start to move (flutter) around 18 to 20 weeks gestation. Moms who have had babies before usually are able to pick up the feeling earlier (like 15 weeks).

The baby starts to move when he is really young, but you just can't feel him. I think that he can move before he is a month past conception.

Around the 5th month you'll feel kicks and the baby starting to toss and turn, and you'll know when the baby is awake or asleep.
