Yo America- Just checked out your President's Federal Budget Plan for 2008. Looks like the poor lose out again- Paying for a war they didin't want by a reduction in social and health programmes while the affluent have their taxes cut on a permanent basis. Go Democrats and chuck it out.

On one hand I agree. Obviously, the poor never actually control decision making of either party. Each party steps on the poor in their own way, depending on the current popular theme. Some liberals want to assure continued poverty by giving the poor just enough so that they need do nothing for it. This is the ultimate injustice. Without something to work/strive for, the poor will always be dependent on big brother to "help" them. That keeps big brother in control, right where he wants to be. The more poor that receive hand outs, the more they will vote in their blessed givers. This is no road to success for any of us.

BTW: "fair distribution of wealth" (by tattie) has never occurred anywhere. The philosophy is taught by socialists and communists, both of which abuse the poor as well. It does not offer any incentive for improvement or progression. True "FAIR distribution of wealth" is when you get what you work for. ;) (I personally exclude those who are physically unable to perform any work.)

you guys need to read the international data on the american economy. Basically the data used to determine if they should save euros, dollars British pounds. Well we are at a 14 yr low vs the pound. What that says to me is people would rather save british money rather than dollars because they believe that their money is safer. Thats the reason bush is cutting the elderly and poor. If he tries any more deficit no one will want to save a dollar and we basically lose the ability to buy all the chinese trinkets we got at Wal Mart. I am just shocked that he puts out this huge defense budget and war plans for Iraq at the cost of the elderly.
