You will have to find someone offering HUD vouchers, or offering HUD subsidized housing.

If you find HUD subsidized housing, they will do an FBI check on you, as it is required. It could take 30 to 60 days to be qualified.

The same goes for vouchers, but they usually get it done quicker as the agency offering them is paid based on how many they hand out.

If you get a voucher, you can go to anyplace that will take them, but the property will have to be inspected for safety.
