Looking for some good sightseeing spots, good restaurants, bars, etc.

Morehead Planetarium.
Chapel Hill is a college town and is full of bookstores, bars, pubs, coffee shops, and little restaurants.
Raleigh is not too far away, if you want to see the NC Natural History Museum or the state Capitol building.
BIG basketball country in that area, catch an ACC ball game.
NC Zoo at Asheboro not too far away.

UNC basketball...if theres a home game. I think Duke might be down there too. Theres some crazy college hoops down there.

Well the public bus service is free in C.H. so keep that in mind for transportation.
