On the DR 90210 or THE GIRLS NEXT DOOR television show, on the "E!" Network, they will show the girls breasts but only blur out the nipple area???!! Why bother??!! Let us see their nipples too!!

Yeah, my friends even made a comment about it. They literally show the whole boob except for one spot. Yet, on other channels there is violence, sexual assualt, and simulated sex where they are practically naked except for the genitals showing and a woman's nips. If you watch Nip/Tuck you know what I am talking about as well as Rescue Me, which is a great show by the way. I don't know about you, but I think sex, sexual assault, wife beating, etc is much more inappropriate for children than nipples. God forbid, they burn a hole in children's eyes (pun not intended, well maybe a little). I'm not saying it should be shown, but people have things backwards when it has to do with perspective.

It's a sort of false modesty on the censors' part. Back in the old days, Playboy magazine couldn't show models' pubic hair--only the breasts--because it wasn't decent. Then Penthouse, et al came out with models showing "Pink" (inside the vaginal lips) and it was an outrage. For some reason, this culture needs to have sexual things labelled as "nasty, naughty, or off limits" to create titillation (pun intended) as well as to feed the money making machine.

No, what's the difference? It makes no sense to me.
And "smially"-Yes women can experience arousal and orgasm during breastfeeding, but that doesn't mean it's "sexual." Oxytocin, a hormone responsible for release of milk from the ducts, is also responsible for the contraction of the vagina during orgasm AND child birth. So, sometimes, during breastfeeding, oxytocin causes contractions during breastfeeding like those experienced during orgasm. It also creates the same feeling of satiation and well being experienced after sex (again, the release of oxytocin is responsible for this).That doesn't mean it's sexual, or that the breasts are sexual organs. Believe me, women don't feel the same sexual feelings during breastfeeding that they feel during sex. It is a purely biological function, and probably has evolutionary roots, in that it (the feeling of well-being) counteracts how PAINFUL breastfeeding can be, thus motivating the mother to continue.
If you were a woman, you would not have so confused a view on this subject, but the least you can do is educate yourself. As far as "stimulation" of the breasts being pleasurable (in a sexual context) many women like to have their neck and ears kissed (for me, I like it better). Does that mean I should walk around wearing a scarf and ear muffs?

The peculiarities and hypocrisy evident in present-day American popular culture would have had Sigmund Freud on the edge of his seat: a full-blown, all-out neurosis shared by 300 million people.
It's a function of culture, obviously. Other cultures don't have such hang-ups. Then again, during the Victorian Era table legs were hidden as THEY were considered "sexual". The Victorian Era was the time of Freud's formative years: he ended up more neurotic than his patients!

Doesn't that go back to the old censorship laws that prohibited the showing of an uncovered nipple on "domestic" TV, but allowed it to be filmed and shown on overseas channels?

It's a cultural thing. In Africa, many women walk with a naked top.
In the USA, men can, but if a woman does, she is arrested. It should be tested in court, becuase it;s unconstitutional. IN fact. women now breast feed in public, but tv is still anal retentive.

Yeah, violence is way more accepted in television, movies and video games than some sex and nudity. I would rather have children seeing naked women than seeing people's heads get blown off in some car theft game.
