I had no idea they were not doing so, and I am amazed by the ignorance in the answers!
Democratic politicians issue pardons all the time, to the ones who said, "Democrats have faith in the judicial system..." I've heard it all now!!
To the one whose name I cannot spell, that's just horse ****. It appears they were not even convicted of the correct charge. And attorneys make mistakes, juries go the wrong way. What do you think the almighty Habeas Corpus I keep hearing liberals scream about is for?
300,000 people have signed the petition, and some of us Republicans think the President would be wise to pardon these agents.
And has anyone considered the illegal immigrant (who is alive and well) is planning a lawsuit?!

I definitely have questioned approximately this all alongside and am happy to work out that throughout the time of all probability some thing would be carried out to work out if this got here approximately. the main important human rights violation that has got here approximately in this united states of america those days is that Ramos and Compean have been put in penitentiary for doing their interest! The circumstances that they are actually in - are ones that i think of all that had something to do with this might desire to acquire double the sentence given to those 2 adult adult males and located interior the very comparable circumstances.

Well, gee golly whiz, when criminals are found guilty... it's usually Republics that don't want the cases re-opened since they're so gung-ho (is it that they're a bunch of hoes?) for law and order regardless of the improprieties that are often committed like exculptatory evidence withheld, witnesses intimidated from testifying on behalf of the accused, tainted or fabricated evidence by law enforcement, etc... especially if the accused is a poor White or minority member, or is accused of a heinous crime (they say he is guilty by accusation) but now that some good ol' boys got themselves caught, arrested, charged, tried, found guilty by a jury of their peers and sentenced... well, golly gee... ! Somebody pass me a bottle of Mountain Dew! Kinda makes you wonder what ELSE they got away with!
And here I thought that the Republic Party was FOR law and order and strict and swift punishment... wha' happened, booby? Yeah, the Republic congressmen are quick to haul-a$s and circle the wagons around their own... sleazy, corrupt bullies, criminals and murderers!
EDITED: JackBauer, didn't they have bona fide attorneys representing them? Wasn't there a judge presiding over the trial to make sure that there were no improprieties going on during the trial? WHAT FACTS or PROOF do YOU have to demonstrate they were "innocent" other than just what you WANT to believe?
What about poor minority members who cannot afford an attorney or don't work with an agency such as Border Patrol that have unions and attorneys...? What about the poor and minority members that must rely on inept, incompetent, inexperienced, overworked and uncaring public defenders? Do you and those Republic senators also go out of your way to sign petitions to get the President to pardon them, too? Why does it take so many years to get DNA testing (when the evidence is present, that is) for poor Whites and minority members that are encarcerated for many years yet can potentially be innocent of the crimes they've been sentenced for? What's YOUR agenda, booby?
EDITED: Gee, golly whiz! Imagine then those held prisoners by the US government in clandestine prisons, no charges being levied against them, no legal counsel permitted and no chances of proving their innocence, torture is allowed (like our enemies do and we (b)itch and complain when they do it)... JUST for being SUSPECTED of being enemies! Hey, maybe those "poor" "innocent" good ol' boys should were railroaded by those damned illegals that infiltrated the jury and one of them also posed as a judge...huh? Is that what happened? OR do you want two kinds of "justice," one for good ol' boys and one for everyone else?

because they want to uphold the law, and the law says that taking a human life (illegal immigrant or not) is BAD. maybe even ILLEGAL.
no man is above the law. life is so precious that their two lives combined in jail cant compare to the single life they took.

A better question would be "Why did the Republicans allow them to become arrested, tried and convicted". It was on their watch, dear.

Perhaps the Democrats have faith in our justice system rather then trying to turn a criminal case into a political case like the Reps are doing.

Maybe its because murder is illegal and only Repubs would place politics over justice.
These murders killed an unarmed man and tried to cover it up. If anyone would pardon these murderers however, it would be born-again Bush.

sure funny someone calls them murderers. he was shot in the butt. he was treated IN THE US BY TAX MONEY, released and then retrieved from Mexico. He is now IN THE US suing the govt for 3.5 million dollars... murderers huh?
and for the one that says it was done in courts. THERE ARE 3 AFFIDAVITS SIGNED BY JURY MEMBERS THAT SAY THEY WERE TOLD BY THE JUDGE THAT THERE COULDNT BE A HUNG JURY AND THEY HAD TO VOTE WITH THE MAJORITY.....
