Call your local Health Department. They usually run such programs or can point you in the right direction. I have two disabled children and my wife is now disabled and the Health Department is setting us up with a CNA to help with the kids a couple of hours a day. The funding may come from various sources, but the Health Dept. administers the program.

Memere, I agree with you 100%! As far as your fiance goes, did he graduate from an accredited class that's approved by the state? If he hasn't, he needs to go back to school, take the state boards, and get certified. If he is, he can register with the different home health care agencies in your area that will pay him. As far as the family member is concerned, if she's disabled, she can apply for social security(SSI) and possibly qualify for Medicare. Look into your local department of social services to see if she can apply for Medicaid and/or Food Stamps. Every little bit helps, my dear. Good luck!

I have never gotten paid to take care of a family member. What makes you so special? Either do it with love or put them in a nursing home. Sounds like your just out to collect off the system. ....Way to go. You should get a coal in your stocking!!!!!!! shame on you
