The new snickers commercial featured during the superbowl has been coined "homophobic", and I would like to know what people think of it. I personally thought it was funny; two American men working on American cars( yes, yes, leave the American car jokes out for now) accidently kiss. They felt their "manli-ness" was dimmed, so to redeem themselves they ripped chest hair out. This scene was offensive how? A sensitive topic or maybe just an over reaction? Expand on my general questions.

Offensive. Because people do not watch the Superbowl to see broke-back garage. It was a poor taste commercial no matter how you look at it. While it was funny, it still was poor taste.
"Johnny age 5 Daddy why are those men kissing? Daddy, they are not Really kissing they accidental kissed. Daddy why are they pulling out their hair? To prove that they are not gay. " Poor taste! If you are gay you are offended because it implies something is wrong with men kissing, if you are not gay you are offended because you see 2 men kissing. The add company that did this was way off base!

It seems like you can't do anything these days without offending someone. We've become a culture of apologizers, being forced to talk or act a certain way or face being sued for saying what we think. As for the Snickers ad, I saw it and though it was amusing. Not laugh out loud funny, but amusing. Homophobic? Only by those who see homophobes behind every tree. I'm a little unsure though how pulling out chest hair is manly.

I agree that it was a hilarious commercial. However, I believe that some homosexuals may find it offensive because they claimed it somehow supported homophobia. Furthermore, I am sure some social conservatives were also offended.

In my opinion, everyone needs to get over it and stop being so sensitive.

I loved it, what a great commerical. One of the best of the Super Bowl, but that is not saying much! Seems as if you cannot do anything or say anything without someone getting offended! I am tired of the sensitivity CRAP that has been taking over our country! It is called freedom of speech, stop taking everything so serious!!!

I thought it was funny too. Dont see how it was offensive. The only commercial i think people might of found offensive was the Carlos Mencia commerical. That was my favorite one.
