yes it wasn't of what was out there that i was afraid of it was
what i thought was in my closet.
As a little kid i thought that a headless lady with a very tiney neck
was in my closet.

I didn't realize how afraid of the dark I was until I
saw "The Blair Witch Project". It reminded me
how I use to freak at a sound or jump at any shadow or image that my mind conjured up.
Last night I saw a remake of "The Amittyville Horror". Brought me back to childhood when I would have the sensations of the hairs standing on the back of my head.
I don't know what was there. Could have been
the "Boogey Man" or Harvey the Rabbit. We all
have those incidents happen in one form or another. Its amazing how Mulder and Sculley are never around when you need them.

Yes when I was 5 and under. Then one day I heard the noise during the day and followed it outside to the side of the house. It was the metal tag on the gas meter scratching in the wind. I thought evil was coming to get me, scratching at my window. Thank God I found the source. To this day nothing really frightens me as I figure there must be a logical explanation.

Yes, when I was young. I'd be afraid of people lurking, or animals. I'm not fearful of the dark now, but am real cautious cause you never know what is out there. Especially now a days, it isn't safe to be outside alone at night.n

Yes I was afraid of the dark. I thought there were ghosts and demons hiding in my room.

Im still afraid of the dark. I turn on a light in every room that i enter. And its not really the dark that im afraid of, its the unknown that i'm afraid of.

lol. Yes when I was a little girl my dad told me that if I didn't pick up my clothes then at night snakes would hide in them. So one night when I needed to pee REALLY bad I just couldn't put my feet on the ground because (of corse) there were clothes EVERYWHERE. I finally got the courage to run to the door and back. That morning my room was spotless! thanks for the q it brought back a funny memory. (well it's funny now!)

I'm still scare of the dark. I still sleep with a night light. I guess I am scare of the bogeyman or something evil.

Nah, the dark never scared me. I always liked the dark because I could scare everyone else. It was fun. Always ended up laughing. It's good times.
