The rental space is 2500 sq. ft. The rent is $12.50 per sq. foot.

What is the MONTHLY rent. Show your work. Please. Thank you. My husband and I are disagreeing on how to calculate this. I know I'm right!

Also........UHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, "akansan" I asked for the MONTHLY rent. Does't take a rocket scientist to realize that your answer of over thirty grand is wrong. Thanks for being a dick, however, it's generally only acceptable if you are correct. When you're wrong, it just makes you look like a stupid jerk.

Take the total square feet and multiply by the square footage cost to get your yearly rent...
then divide by 12 for the monthly rent!

2500 x 12.50-=31250 divided by 12=$2604.16 per month

Uh, take 2,500 sqft. times $12.50. This isn't rocket science.

2,500 x $12.50 = $31,250.00

Kind of high if you ask me, but I live in a depressed area.
