Yes it is true and not suprising
"I don't own a single share of stock!" filmmaker Michael Moore proudly proclaimed.
He's right. He doesn't own a single share. He owns tens of thousands of shares – including nearly 2,000 shares of Boeing, nearly 1,000 of Sonoco, more than 4,000 of Best Foods, more than 3,000 of Eli Lilly, more than 8,000 of Bank One and more than 2,000 of Halliburton, the company most vilified by Moore in "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Hold on now, you are automatically taking Moore's word for it. From everything you've said it's an allegation that might have some proof and has not been proven to be false. If this tax return is real it should be produced, at least the damning parts, however if it is false then the allegation is false. It seems to me you don't like a dissenting point of view, and have already made up your mind. Isn't it enough that we have 4 major news channels that all parrot each other, CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN? I may not agree with Fox News often but i find it interesting to look at multiple points of view on the same story, it helps me to think for myself. I think it's sad that people want to stifle dissent and don't like to be challenged on their beliefs.

Saying it doesn't make it so, and if he did. it might be part of a portfolio made up for him by someone else!
The author provides no proof, but does give you a web site to go to to buy a book for $20,95 which is anti liberal! I am sure it is accurate as those of Ann Coulter who believes Canada is fighting with us in Iraq!
As a person unnamed, but a neocon, put it:
Moore probably just bought this stock and others so he can sit in on Shareholders Meetings and disrupt proceedings.
All stockholders do have rights to vote, so in reality while he's a royal pain in the a, he's in a win win - his stock does well and he gets to grandstand on his liberal bs
It would also provide him with information, via the companies'annuual reports. The most vicious lies often have a small amount of truth."

What Michael Moore owns stock in should not be the issue. it should be his grandstanding for the "less fortunate" while making miilions and sending his kids to exclusive schools. This is VERY common for his type. They project their own guilt of success on others. Basically, Moore is a hypocrite-and his is all too common with limousine liberals.

if anyone had a brain, which I apparently did not, they would have invested in Haliburton as the war began... it's gone up like several hundred percent since the war started...
it didn't take a genius to connect the dots... Cheney... war... contracts...
I mean... you can't stop it from happening now... they are already elected... so you may as well make money on it... because you know the Republicans will too...
EDIT: uh... he didn't even name the "foundation" that did this? and he is only one source through the whole story? what if he's lying?
that may be the sadest piece of journalism I have ever seen... they don't even bother to see if it's right or if there is another side...
that is far from proof... clearly

if he "owned " it he doesn't own it, any number of people may have owned stock in Haliburton at one time or another
