When i was 12 I started wearing make up to fit in, i thought i would be liked alot more. I was wrong.
My face started getting pimples...more and more each day, and now me being 18 i still have alot of problem with pimples. I cant wear make up any more either.
Please consider this before you start wearing make up--i know what its like to start young and i regret every second of it.
It didnt make people like me any more either.
Keep your skin young. You are too young for make up anyway, you dont want boys getting the wrong idea about you.
If your friends stop liking you because you choose not to wear make up, then they arent really your friends hunny.
Just be true to yourself and your skin and you will be thankful you did later on in life...trust me :)
But if you do decide to wear make up...use a tinted moisturiser and a glossy lip gloss. Its not too bad for your skin and still looks nice :)

First, be careful about what you put on your face.
Do not wear a lot of makeup. Since you are pretty you should just enhance your beauty. Maybe some lip gloss, a little blush or bronzer, a little eye shadow, and some mascara.
The less you use the more your beauty will shine through. There is a great line of mineral cosmetics that is aimed at teens. It is called Mineral Girlz. The colors are better for teens. Some of the eye shadows are bright but most of the products are more natural. Show the products to your mom and see what she says. Remember the more natural the better. Especially at your age. Good luck with mom. She was a teenager once and I am sure if you ask her how she felt at your age, she will let you start out with a little bit of makeup.

I think I started wearing makeup when I was 13. I started with just a little eyeliner too but now that I am 23 I wish I never started because the more you wear makeup the more you feel you always have to wear it and some days you just dont feel like putting it on but then if you dont you feel not as pretty which is just in our head. If you feel pretty without it then i say dont put any on. Natural beauty is best anyway. It tells people you dont have to put any makeup on to be pretty. Guys like it better too.

Well, at your age I would suggest wearing minimal make up. Your skin is still young and needs to breathe. Personally I wouldn't wear make up at all, if you are pretty enough without it, then you don't need it. You don't want to get into a bad habit of wearing make up every day.
BUT, if you want to, then I suggest light make up. Wear a little foundation, maybe some mascara and a little eye liner, a hint of blush and some lip gloss. Less is more. And if you are pretty enough already, you really won't need much make up. Don't be fooled that you think you do, because you don't. You want a natural look.
And I agree with your Mum, just wait a bit. You will want to shop around and buy decent make up that won't wreck your skin.

I totally understand what you are feeling and went through that not to long ago. If you and your parents decide make up is OK, then start light with a powder and light colored lip gloss. I would wait awhile on eyeliner. Ironically the fashion in makeup is to wear make up but not look like you are wearing anything.

Try just wearing it on special occasions. There's no need to wear it for school at your age if you don't need it. If you would prefer to wear it for school opt for a natural look. Just wear a small amount of blush and and maybe some clear mascara to enhance your natural features.
Remember that the idea is to play up what you've got, not hide it.

use a VERY small amount. if you're pretty, you don't have to worry about it that much. What ever you do, use mascara as late as you can, and use very little of it. If you get in the habit of wearing mascara, it ends up shrinking your eyelashes. Don't use that much blush, either, your pores should be able to breath and not get clogged, if they do, you'll get pimples. If I were you I would wait a little, just wear a little every once in a while. I hope that answers your question

My recommendation is wearing a little bronzer or a shimmer powder to give yourself some glow. Don't rush to wear cosmetics. If you have great skin, keep it that way. Cosmetics can sometimes do more damage than good. If you decide to wear makeup just remember that a little goes a long way.

I started wearing make-up about your age. My advice to you, and please heed it well, don't wear heavy makeup. It makes you look...well....excuse my bluntness.....like a cheap floozie. You want something that compliments your skin tone, hair, and eyes. Don't cake it on, more is not necessarily better. I think light colors and mascara to enhance your eyes and a light pink colored lip gloss. Also keep in mind that you are getting to the point in you life where your skin all of a sudden decides it wants to break out. Whatever you decide, be sure to wash it off so that your pores don't get clogged.
