OK here's the run down....
I like two guys: the really hot guy - call him Cole
this other guy i know - call him Sam
Guys my best friend (call her Mary) likes: the really hot guy - Cole
See the problem?? Ok well I don't much like Sam anymore cause he has a girlfriend and well they aren't gona break ^ any time soon. Now Mary has liked Cole for a WHILE but she never talks to him, never acts like she likes him round him, and keeps saying she doesn't like him. I liked Sam but not that much since i've been hanging around w/ Cole more. Now Mary got ticked when I told her I kinda liked Cole cause she wouldn't quit bugging me bout who I like. Totally understandable! But the problem is Cole kinda acts like he likes ME! I'm trying to get to know him better but I don't wana hurt Mary (she really doesn't flirt at all so he doesn't like her at all or know she likes him - we think). What should I do to get to know him better but not hurt Mary?

Ok let me elaborate here... the guy (Cole)
HATES my best friend. As in she say's something and he twists it. He really doesn't like her. No one know why and no he's not shy...

Your friend should have no reason to be mad at you for liking Cole. If she is your friend then she should be happy for u. Evidentally,as u have said, he doesn't like her. You and Cole need to find sometime to be able to talk by yourselves. Find out wat kind of things he likes to do and maybe the two of you could make plans to do something together. If Mary gets mad..she will eventually get over it soon. But if u truely don't want to hurt her, then try to explain to her that u really like this guy and u still want to be friends with her at the same time.

well i think u should keep on talk in 2 him so u get 2 know him better. also 4 u not 2 hurt your best friend Mary i think u should try 2 get her 2 like somebody else so she can get her mind off of Cole and u don't have 2 worry about it any more.

Back off for a while, let Mary find out the hard way. Sometimes a friend has to step back and let her friend get hurt, If you interfere, then she will blame you and a good friendship will be gone forever. Who's more important, hot guy or best freind?

Sounds like you are a VERY sweet 14 year old with plenty of drama going on! I remember those days. One piece of advice, and I don't say this to be mean or cruel, but....
None of this will still matter to you in a week or two!
It will be the same drama, different faces, new places.

There are two choices here- You can do the teenager way: Don't tell her and go with him somewhere where you can talk, and keep it a secret. But, if you want to do it the parenting way- you can sit down and talk to her and let her know how you feel

Hang around with your friends and him and his friends then talk about what you guys like 2 do so it doesn't seem that obvious that you like him so you don't hurt her feelings and you get 2 know his friends and the people he likes 2 hang out with and see what he and his friends like 2 do

youve got to back off!! your girl likes him whether she admits it or not... try to hook her up with him since she seems too shy to go for him on her own... if they dont work with a good chance at it at least and you still have the hots for him, explain it to her, then have at him!! but you cant stab her in the back - thats not cool!
