Where can I find a list of former Polish mayors ranging from the mid 1850's to the present?

I'm doing a speech on my Polish culture. My great great grandfather, last name Czarnik, was a mayor of some city in Poland. None of my family members can recall for what city or year he was a mayor. Does anybody know of a website that lists mayors in Poland?

The only way you will be able to find that information is by emailing a representative of the records of the Polish government. Generally there aren't many sites that list mayors since they change often and often aren't that important.
