I constantly critize my girlfriend and can't seem to stop.
Clothes she wears, what she eats, etc. I do it just like her
Mom does to her.
I do know that if she was only a friend that I could easily accept
her as she is and I wouldn't critize her just like the rest of my friends. Why do I constanly critize her in a realationship but not as a friend?

Are you trying to make yourself feel better than her by knocking her down? Why don't you try and look at what's making you say these things. If you truly don't like the way she looks, then WHY ARE YOU WITH HER?! Break up with her and do both of yourselves a favour.
I had a friend who's boyfriend did this to her all the time, saying stuff like, "Why are you wearing that? It looks hideous!" Eventually her self-esteem was totally destroyed and she always thought she was ugly and worthless. It's taken her years to feel better about herself.
Let go of this poor girl before you totally destroy her.

If you are criticizing her, then she is not the one for you! Her life will be miserable and so will be yours. Just let her down easily with hints and don't tell her you love her from now on.

maybe you realize that she is too good for you so you are trying to knock down her self esteem so she can feel as bad about herself as you about yourself....
