419 Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

2007-02-06 13:45:10 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

Throw this crap away! I, along with millions of others, has received this scam.
You cannot win a lottery you never played. Unless you went to Europe and played their lottery, you didn't win. International lotteries are illegal in the United States.
These people will want you pay money upfront for taxes/fees before they'll give you your money. RED FLAG. You never have to pay to receive your prize/winnings. Taxes are your responsibility after the fact.
There is no prize department or prize.

This is a scam. They will want your bank account numbers to transfer money to you. If you give them to them, they will transfer money, all right..they will transfer all of your money to them. If you did not enter the lottery it is a scam. If they send you a check, be sure to talk to the bank about it before depositing. When it bounces, they get your account number..and, you guessed it..
