If it really bothers you, you should consider losing weight. I'm not saying this to be mean, but seriously, if one or two people say it, you can dismiss them.

IF lots of people say it or those close to you say it, you probably have a problem. People who care about you are probably saying it because they want you to be healthier.

Obviously you can't ignore it otherwise you wouldn't be bothered by it and asking this question.

So the only thing you can do is start eating healthier and working out more.

I was getting teased for being overweight and I ended up losing 30 pounds last year in two months. I stopped eating fried foods, sweets, and worked out 1-2 hours a day (weights and cardio). Weight lifting increases metabolism. You basically burn calories through your muscles while you're sitting.

If for some hormonal or motivation factor you can't lose weight, talk to them and tell them you don't appreciate their criticism, it's your life, and to leave you alone.

Give them a big FAT punch in the mouth!

Seriously, if your parents are teasing you, that shows that your parents have isues with themselves such as maybe a mental disorder or something.
What kind of loving parent would ridicule their own child? Would it not be better that they support you in a possitive way and help you to battle this situation? Parents that ridicule their own child have some serious issues that must be delt with. I suggest that they get some help from a professional considering their mental abuse and the mental issues they are experiancing.

Its sad to hear that parents can be so cruel to thier own child. Loose some weight. Get it in your mind that you are powerfull enough to do this on your own and show them you have the power to do so.

Then begin to seek professional help for your parents, they have a real big problem to deal with and perhaps your problem could be the start of helping them with their mental disorder.

Any parent that ridicules their own child in that fasion is sick themselves. Especially when they should know that this can cause you other severe mental and emotional problems. If they don't know this then they have a bigger problem than you do with your weight. They need help. They are your biggest problem right now!

Sit on them! [LOL]

Seriously, I would stay away from these people as much as possible and stay close to the people who treat you with kindness. There are good things about you that the b@stards who tease you about your weight are totally missing out on. They don't deserve you!

You can try to lose weight, but this will work best if you're doing it for YOU and not to make yourself more acceptable to losers who tease you about it. Take good care of your health, and find activities that you enjoy.

One day, I hope you love yourself so much that those people have no more power to hurt you.

This is a bad place to look for a self esteem boost. They will wreck what little you have left. you need to find supportive people to hang with. If you don't like being overweight you need to start exercising and watching your diet. as far as your parents go you should clean the toilet with their toothbrush. a good case of hepatitis should shut them up.

No one ever DARED to tease me.
But, I have been overweight for half my life, and it was just about impossible to get "psyched" to lose weight. I did, and I'm really glad, but I had lived "fat" for decades, and realize now it would have been simple to lose the weight. It is VERY difficult emotionally to lose weight, so put that aside for now.
What's important is your reaction to this verbal abuse. I'm sure your parents love you, and don't realize that their teasing hurts you. But if ANYONE ELSE calls you names or teases you about being fat, tell them to F88888K OFF! Say it loudly, immediately, and don't stop saying it until they leave you alone. Once people realize you won't take abuse, they will have respect for you, and probably like you just the way you are. Show you have guts, and stand up for yourself.

Work out =]

But seriously, any person that teases or makes fun of someone else for a weight issue or something like that can just go straight to hell...it's not their body, and they really have no right to treat you like you have no feelings...so seriously, just tell them that it bothers you or tell them to go to hell

Good luck! ;-)

Hey...there's more to love. Just make sure it's not hurting your health, and you wear things that flatter your weight. There are some sharp-lookin big people (Monique, Ruben Studdard, Bruce Bruce)
