No. It's really not. I bought Mary Kay before and it was crap. It was pretty much the same as cover girl.

Actually if you compare it to products of equal quality Lancome, Clinique and other department store cosmetics it is not expensive. It has been #1 selling brand of color cosmetic and skin care for 13 years. Mary Kay does not pay overhead where other cosmetic companies are actually marking up there products from 200 to 400%. Mary Kay puts all the money into research and quality of the product and is tested by independent laboratories. Mary Kay is 100% guarantee so you are never stuck with something that doesn't work or you didn't like It is all about try before you buy and personalized service so you don' t have ot stand at a cosmetic counter guessing what is the right shade and then your stuck with it if it's not. I saw some other consultants have responded so check out a Mary Kay website get a free sample and judge for yourself.

I have worn Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Mac, bunches of wal-mart brands and more. Mary Kay is what I like the best and my skin does the best on their skincare line. Also, it costs less than Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc. So, I don't think it's that expensive. Plus, their products last forever and you have a 100% guarantee on everything you buy.

Personally I suggest Sephora since I don't think Mary Kay is that great. And the reason it costs so much is because they have beauty consultants who come to your house and sell it to you, like Avon.

Marketing and distribution costs.

No - it is not worth the money. There are many better brands to choose from without the hassle or pressure to buy an entire skin care line.

It is so worth it!! The skin care stuff has really helped me out and their color products are great and last all day. If you compare it to other name brands like arbonne, clinique, etc., it is really inexpensive. Plus...it's 100% guaranteed. If it wasn't any good they wouldn't do that and you would be stuck with it.

becasue it's a name brand make-up. I work with cosmetics all day and I'm here to tell ya, Lancome has some of the highest quality make-up on the market. Estee Lauder, Clinique, MAC, and Dior are close follow ups.
