yes, it came out quite a while ago. and yes, it is most definitely worth seeing. leo is WONDERFUL in the film and the storyline is EXCELLENT. i am very impressed with leo's south african accent in the film as well, it is dead on and makes the acting even more believeable. i think everyone should see this movie cuz it is based on the things that really go on in africa over diamonds and other things. it was a great movie and u should by all means see it asap!!

Blood diamonds (a.k.a. conflict diamonds) come from places that are controlled by factions opposed to different types of governments. They are sold to fund military action in opposition to those governments. These diamonds haven't been certified by the market. Instead, they are smuggled and are directly shipped to different countries to be sold for money. They are produced through the forced labor of men, women, and children. Some countries that produce blood diamonds are: Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola. A process, known as the Kimberly Process, is formulated to obstruct the entry of conflict diamonds to the market. It is out, yes. It's an amazing film centring around three very different characters and about the country's fight for a single diamond so they can sell it to be rich.
I recommend it wholeheartedly.
And I see at the end, you have a dig at Leonard DiCaprio, you shouldn't because he is an amazing actor, he is brilliant in this. I can see exactly where he was nominated for an Oscar for this role.

I saw Blood Diamond. I would recommend it!! It's a good movie with lots of action. The only thing I didn't like was Leo's accent but other than that the movie was great!!!

It's probably Leo's best work... yet. He's v.believable as a diamond smuggler complete with South African accent to boot!

Its an awesome movie.
The story is great, but most importantly it makes you aware of one of the many terrible things that goes on in the world....u should definitely watch it...and yea,its been out for quiet a while.

Absolutely fantastic film! Leonardo DiCaprio was brilliant in it (I wasn't a fan of his b4 this film). The film really makes you think and captures both the bloodshed and beauty of Africa perfectly.

great movie!! although it does have some things that can be a little disturbing...but i would definatly go see it if i were you.
it was amazing
and leo is great in it

I'll never buy another diamond unless I know it is from a diamond mine that legitimately exploits its miners.
