My husband forbid me from bringing it into the house, what he dont know won't hurt lol.
Brokeback mountain was one of the most touching and moving films i've ever seen. I'm not a fan of "gay" movies it bothers me but what had drawn me to this one was all the awards it won and the ratings it got.
I couldn't imagine a more perfectly manly couple than Jake and Heath. I understand why people don't care 100% for it some of the "love" scenes are pretty graphic but they felt a love for each other so strong it was a very moving film.

Essentially, I thought this movie was pretty good, but certainly not good enough to rate a Golden Glove or Academy Award. It offered a sympathetic approach to understanding the relationship between gay individuals. It pointed out in graphic detail the perils of such an arrangement in a heterosexual population, and perhaps as a result, may improve the perception of gay people by society in general. Also I thought the mountain scenery in the movie was beautiful.

i think that is was a GREAT movie. it makes no difference if it was two men. the love that they had between one another was pure and it seemed real enough. when i heard about it i thought it was weird and all, but when i actually watched it for what it really is, just a romance movie then i truly understood. Brokeback Mountain is my favorite movie now. i respect both jake and heath more than any other actor for doing that role, the chemisty was so right on sometimes i actually thought it was real. people shouldnt critisize it because they dont understand the real point of the movie, their love for one another; no matter what sex they are. so i would have to say that i approve of the movie and what it is about.

I think it's brilliant.
And it's about time being gay was brought back into mainstream cinema, regardless of how uncomfortable it makes people feel.
The only other film to have such an impact was Philadelphia, and that was 14 years ago.
I suppose, before that film, Victim (starring Dirk Bogard), and The Killing Of Sister George (starring Beryl Reid), were the only 'controversial' films of their time.

I thought it could have been much better. They really didn't build up why the two men fell in love with one another. Also the graphic scenes came way to early in the movie for it to be anything more than shock value. That's just my opinion.

I thought it was a good movie but I could have done without some of the graphic scenes.

It is interesting that so many of you are scared of seeing a loving Gay couple. It only means that you are way too young to see it or you are scared of your own sexuality.
It won best picture last year so many people loved it.Including me. The photography of the wildlife was amazing and the acting was great.

I thought it was just okay. Didn't understand all the hype about it. It was a love story about homosexuals, what's the big deal?
