If so how do u hook up the guitar...or is there a guitar 4 ps3

Playstation 3 is entirely backwards compatible, which means you can play any playstation game on it. Even ones from the first playstation. However, this won't work the other way, i.e. you cant play PS3 games on your PS2.

I'm not sure, but I believe PS2 games can be played in a PS3, like PS1 games were playable in a PS2. Try it out, can't connect the guitar, though, unless they're in the making of Guitar Hero 3 and the special PS3 guitar to go with it.

The guitar controller won't work with the PS3 as is. There is a USB adapter for PS2 controller available that looked like it would work with the guitar but doesn't. Not to worry, it looks like Nyko is making an adapter that should work.
