I'm waiting to buy an SL, but looking at the slight redesign and engine increase in 2007 SL 550 and the fact that a new CL was released, does anyone have an idea when the new SL will be released, and what will it look like?

The SL was redesigned for 1963, 1972, 1989, and 2001. Given that and the fact that the SL550 and SL63 just received new engines, don't expect a redesign any time soon. The release of the CL shortly followed that of the S because they are essentially the same car underneath, but that doesn't go for the SL. I don't have any concrete evidence and haven't seen any spy shots, which I think further supports my opinion. :-) If you're waiting to buy an SL, now would be the best time before the major redesign which will likely happen next decade, since the engine's new (don't expect that to happen again till then).

The new CL does nt come out to the first off march i know cause my dad sales them then the C class come out in the summer its being launched in seville. But SL a new one wont be out tilll like 2010 like the guy above said
