Very good question. I'm not sure. Well, let's review the top three competitors.

1. Memphis: They just got Rudy Gay last year & they have Mike Miller, too. This means thay don't need a swingman like Durant. They do need a center, though. If they keep Gasol, then I would love to see Gasol & Oden down low.

2. Boston: I see Al Jefferson becoming a possible amare Stoudamire in the future, so he fills the center position. Green, I think they should push into the starting lineup as small forward or shooting guard. Pierce could easily be traded and they could still fill another need, so I feel Durant for them, to become their next star.

3. Phily: They got potential. They got Andre Iguodala & Kyle Korver. But Korver, I see more as a 6th man than a starter. Samuel Dalembert is a pretty good center, but he's left behind in the uppaced world of b-ball. I would go with Oden for them. Iguodala could be their next star, so I would wait a little bit to see if he can handle it.

Now that I reviewed what i would do if i was GM of each team, I'm going to give you who I would pick if i were to start a team and build around one of these players. I feel that Oden's the best to build around. He's a good center, which only comes around once and a while. Look at some of the top teams. Each has a fast-paced center. Dallas: Dirk, Phoenix: Amare, San Antonio: Duncan, etc. I hope this answers your question.

I'd take Durant. Coming out of high school, Oden had alot more publicity, and while he has played great for a freshman, Durant has been putting up good pro numbers. I was watching the game against Texas A&M yesterday and they showed a stat that Durant is averaging 33 points and 15 rebounds in conference play. That is amazing. Too bad he'll have to play with the Celtics next year.

Oden is a force in the paint on offense and defense! But that's about all he can do. That and shoot left handed free throws.

Durant however is a very versatile player, he can shoot the three as he proved against A&M Monday night. He can drive and play defense hes numbers are phenomenal as of late and I'd defiantly take him in the draft if my team was lacking guard play but i had a good center.

A team that he would be a good fit for would be a team like Orlando. They have some good guards a great center in Dwight Howard. He would be a great fit as a PF or maybe even a SF. With Nelson at the point, Howard at the Center, Turkaloo at the SF, and Durant at the 4 you can't go wrong!
