I've got a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, and I am thinking about an M.A. in Sociology. The only problem is, it seems absolutely useless. Unfortunately there is nothing else that interests me.

Most governmental jobs, social work (although a Masters in Social Work is better), you could research (if that intrests you, researching things like the effect of alcohol on a person), politics, you could be a diversity counselor, a counselor for a school, many job agencies hire people to teach people job skills, police, fire, ...

It depends on what you focus on in Sociology. It is such a broad area. Pick an area that intrests you, such as gender, criminal justice, or urban development, and then talk with a guidence conselor, or at a career services. They should be able to help you and help you get internships.

See the website too, they offer other ones I didn't mention.

Police officer, FBI agent, CIA, and other law enforcement.

There are many jobs that require a degree that may have nothing to do with the subject matter.

Nowadays, an undergrad degree is only a ticket to another level of education. It is not a training of skill.... You like the field... continue on.... with an MA, tons of opportunities with seniors, field work, politics, education specialties... but it is advisable to get some practical experience for you CV - even if that means volunteering!
