I don't think Forsberg wants to play for the Flyers
(who would?)
A lot of his injury time is attributable to "skate problems"
In the old days, a player would finish a game with a broken foot
If he's out because of skate-bite
It's either time time for him to go,
time to get an equipment man who can measure feet,
or time for him to stop the whiny Lindros Act and do what he's paid to do
Personally, I'm in favor of getting 2 or 3 good NHL players in a trade and let him go

Forsberg's big contract and injury problems will make it hard to trade him. The flyers have a few players making a lot of money who aren't performing the way the organization had hoped.
The Flyers didn't think the league would actually follow through and call the obstruction fouls for the whole season like they did a few years ago.

Big bucks for big slow defencemen like Hatcher and Pitkanen who are not really suited to play the speed game. Their size and strength is in obstructing opposition forwards. These guys were stars a few years ago because the rules allowed that. Now they are a just a liability to the team because the same strengths they possess are now being called as penalties.

No one else will take those guys from them and so they have little cap room left to make deals for Forsberg.

I'm sure the flyers could get some good players for Forsberg. I'm sure he will end up on the Rangers where good players go to retire. But since they might not be buying come trade deadline, the wings have a good farm system and still need a scorer.

i don't think any team would really want him and Forsberg needs to give the OK to the Flyers to talk trade to another team cause Forsberg has a no trade clause on his contract. some team might just go for it if hes available and give up some young prospects and let Forsberg rest for the remainder of the season and get in shape for the playoffs that's the only thing i could think of, cause i would not go after a player like him i think he can hurt a teams chemistry if he does come along and then gets injured again then what do you do. you traded your young prospects and get nothing in return.

Forsberg should go to the Kings. We already have a hospital ward with his name on it. He can sign his name on the "wall of lame". He can hang out with the Bure's. He can take pictures with the bronze Jason Allison and Adam Deadmarsh statues in the lobby. It'll be a blast because, as we say, you'll never feel lonely on.....The IR.

Take grossman from the bears, even trade for forsberg. Forsberg has to be better than grossman

I have a feeling Forsberg will go to the Thrashers. They need a center between the hoss and kozlov. Atlanta can afford them and the Flyers can get a few draft picks and a prospect for him.

it all depends on how his foot is

if forsberg does not feel 100% this summer odds are he will retire, if he does fell 100 then yes

daniel briere and chris drury are free agents this offseason so if we can add one or two of them to the fold as well as retain forsberg, the flyers will be much improved next season
