How many times do you and your spouse have sex in a week. I read that only 4% of married couples do it once a day. Is the number really that low? Is it really abnormal to have sex atleast once a day?

I'm not married (yet), but we live together and have been together for almost four years. Marriage plans are definitely in discussion.
We have sexual compatibility issues. He has a much lower sex drive than mine, so we have sex about once a month, sometimes less. It's something that has taken me time to adjust to, but I think I finally have. It's not exactly how I'd want things, but I can't force him, and going outside of the relationship is NOT an option for me.
But I've asked a question like this before, and most people responded saying they have sex at least once a week. So go figure.

We do it about 2 times a week. Been married 16 years. We have two kids, ages 12 and 8. We have dates at LEAST once a week even if it's just stopping by a local restaurant for some appetizers and a quick drink.
We still "park." Make out and have sex in the vehicle. Oh yes!!!

Don't look to others to tell you what is right or wrong about your relationship. You can be intimate once a month and have a great relationship. You can have sex once a day and be miserable. It's all about both people getting their needs met. Certain times make it hard to have sex often - stress, being tired, sick kids, etc often make us just want to sleep when we hit the bed. If you are getting lucky every day and you both are loving it - kudos to you

Honestly twice a week maybe three times. Reading isn't everything (4%), no time for sex if your reading. Yes but it's very good! It's whatever you and your partner are comfortable with, sex isn't based on anyone else or anything else. Now go have some sex because Simon says there's no reason.

I am seeing a doctor for problems with my periods and a lot of pain with sex so it isnt as often as once a day but it is still a couple times a week, depending on the pain.

I don't think it is that low. (4%) My husband and I try for everyday, but sometimes he has to go out of town or my work schedule changes for a few days. We make up for the lost time with more on the next day. Some people just can't get their schedules to work for them. It takes some practice and alot of talking.

Once a day is more than normal. My boyfriend and I are glad to get it in three times a week. What kind of schedule are u working with? Some of us do have jobs and kids!

No I would NOT say it is abnormal. BUT believe me, there are married couples who have sex a lot more LESS than once per week even.

It depends on the couple, us we try for 3 times a week. Couples that do it once a week, are extremely busy with work, house and kids.

We have sex 2-3 times a week. It is what is normal for us.
